A long time ago, in 1894, Rudyard Kipling wrote 'Jungle book'. A beautiful story about a little boy called 'Mowgli' who grew up among the wolves in the jungle of India. I read the book, but I know the story best from the Disney movie. Not only one of my daughters favourite animation movies, but also one of mine. The dance of the monkeys and the song by King Louie is sooo good! Each time I hear this song it makes me smile. Kipling wrote the book when he lived in Vermont (USA). In 1902 he bought Bateman's, a beautiful old house from 1634 in East Sussex (England). Nowadays the house is open to the public. You can also visit the gardens and an old windmill. The house is still exactly the way it was when Kipling's wife died in 1939. It's a house full of books, drawings and a special atmosphere!
