A sense of style

Pippa from the Bed & Breakfast Tower House kindly permitted me to post some pictures of her lovely house on my blog. Today as promised some photo's of the bedrooms, the dining room and the hall. Doesn't it all look pretty?! I simply could not stop looking at all the beautiful things she had collected over the years. I hope that Pippa will start a blog one day, so that she will share her sense of style with us all.

Happy weekend!

A romantic hideaway

If I was not in love with England already I would be now. What a beautiful country it is! The well kept gardens, the delicious pub food, the friendly people, the beautiful countyside. Just what you need for a break! The sunny weather we had helped to make everything look prettier.

We stayed in a Bed & Breakfast in Tenterden, Tower House. What a lovely place it is! I can recommend it to you. I found the address through Jill from Nice day at Rosies. The rooms are beautifully decorated, the breakfast excellent and the owners, Pippa & Mike, very friendly. The house is a vintage heaven! Old linnen, hats, pearl necklaces, books and lots of china make it a unique place to stay.

Today I will show you some photo's of the exterior of the house and the garden. Next time I will post some more of the interior.

A Happy Day to you all!

Lieve groet, Madelief x

What to wear?

Normally I know exactly what to wear, but there are days when I stand in front of my closet and just can't decide. On those days I often stick to black or red.
Black makes me look slim, when I don't feel slim at all. It makes me look chique when necessary. I wear red to cheer me up. Flowers and polka dots help too. I always combine black and red clothes with red lipstick. My favourite is 'Rouge pour couture' by Yves Saint Laurent. It has the advantage of staying on for hours. I recently bought some black Swedish Hasbeens clogs. I can recommend them to you. Although they don't look comfortable with their wooden sole, I assure you they are a joy to wear. The vintage bag I found on Marktplaats. Such a lucky find!

What do you choose out of your wardrobe when you just can't decide?

I will be in the south of England the coming days, to see some gardens and do some walking. See you all back next week!
