Sunday morning my husband and I visited the 'Fair aan de Maas' in Mijnsheerenland. We took of early, to miss the crowds. What a beautiful day it was; endless blue sky, 19 degrees celcius, a mild breeze. It just could not be better! We both enjoyed the fair very much. It was not too big, which added to its charm. There was so much to see. My favourite stalls were the ones selling brocante, china from PIP studio (which I love) and plants. My husband enjoyed the sunlit terraces, a good cup of coffee, his home brought newspaper and the birds of prey show. I must say the birds of prey show was very good indeed!
I did not look for anything special at the fair, but in the end I came home with two beautiful lace scarves and a delicious homemade bread, which we ate in our garden! I hoped to perhaps meet one of you, but alas I saw no familiair faces.

ReplyDeleteGeweldig zo'n fair...dat is altijd een feest om te bezoeken en al helemaal met zoveel zon! Met twee vriendinnen bezoek ik al een paar jaar de Pinksterfair in Zeist, dat zijn uitstapjes waar we ons altijd erg op verheugen! Ik ga nog even genieten van je mooie foto's van de fair!

Wat een prachtige foto's heb je gemaakt en wat een mooie Fair. Ohhhh......die foto met het PIP servies......daar moet ik niet te lang naar kijken hihi. Ik vind overigens niet alles mooi van PIP, meer de koppen met het vogeltje en de bloemenschalen...prachtig.

Dat was een heerlijk ochtendje en je bent goed geslaagd. Ik vind Pip ook zo leuk (en wat niet meer?). Ik heb de theepot cadeau gekregen bij een abonnement en wil nu ook nog wat grote theekoppen, maar ik wil eerst wat weg doen (goed hè? nu ook nog uitvoeren!). Fijne zonnige dag!

The Lace Scarves are just beautiful and the pretty blue and pink china Would love perfectly in my kitchen!. I love thesis Kinds of Events - We Have Been to Some fairs in France That were excellent, with lots of Things That I want to buy, but I'm always a little Disappointed With The Ones We Have Been to here in the UK. I will keep trying Until I find a good one suche as this!

Oh Madelief wat een prachtige foto's. Ik ben bewust niet naar de fair gegaan omdat ik beslist niks meer wil kopen en ik was beslist overstag gegaan als ik dat serviesgoed zie van de bovenste foto, dat roze en blauw, dat kopje met de eend erop, oh oh, en die blauwe theepot op een van de laatste foto's helemaal schitterend, wat heb ik allemaal gemist.

And I must say, I am very impressed to hear, that you managed to walk away with just 3 buys...:) I think, I would have had problems.... the pictures look very interesting and I have been spotting lots of lovely things which I would have loved and found difficult to walk past!!! Is this an annual fair? You are so lucky to have fairs like it!! (One of my best friends lives in Holland and she has never mentioned anyting...I think I shall have words...).

I came to respond to your comment but, once again, I am completely captivated by the wares from the fair. It really makes me want to shop! There are several things in the photos that I've, actually, been wanting to "get" for my home for a while now.

ReplyDeleteThanks a lot for your nice comment, too - yes, I was one of the "stranded victims" (from Austria it is usually the better way to go by plane, it only needs about 2 hours - with the bus and through the Euro-tunnel we needed 25...) But we had a very good time in London, Cornwall and some other places we visited. Thanks again for you tips (we visited some places you told me :o)) - and today my holiday story starts!

ReplyDeletewas für ein schöner Antikmarkt, voll mit richtigen Schätzen. Mir gefallen besonders das PIP-Geschirr und das pastellfarbene Emaille. Ich hätte da soviel gefunden, daß ich wohl einen Lastwagen gebraucht hätte, um alles mit nach Hause zu nehmen. Ihr habt in Holland soviele schöne Geschäfte und noch schönere Märkte, da muß es sehr viel Spaß machen, den ganzen Tag über solche Märkte zu bummeln. Vielen lieben Dank für diese wunderbaren Fotos!
