There are days when I rarely find anything at the flea market, but last Queen's day I came home with two bags full of vintage finds. While most people were sitting behind their television, waiting for queen Beatrix to abdicate and our new King Willem Alexander to be crowned, my husband and I were snooping for vintage treasures. This must be the reason we found so much.
I cannot show you all, but in today's post some of the things I like best; the gorgeous metal tray, the Sadler ginger jar, an amazing hand painted Hungarian plate, colourful teacups, floral tins and two little golden books, which I collect. Among them my favourite 'Wim is weg', which I did not have in my bookcase yet. The drawings inside are really pretty and the story of a little boy who rides into the country on his tricycle, so very sweet!
In this post I want to say thank you as well, for your birthday wishes and the kind comments you leave on my posts. They are much appreciated. Unfortunately I cannot visit you as often as I like to, but I hope you don't mind too much.
I used some of the first spring flowers that grow in my garden in the posies on this page; yellow archangel, Brunnera, forget-me-nots, two varieties of grape hyacinths and Euphorbia leaves.
The last photo was made in the outdoor kitchen.
Next week I will take you into the garden once more. It's getting prettier every day :-)
Have a lovely weekend!
