Lucky me to for having no appointments today. With a blue sky, mild temperatures and bright sunlight, it was the perfect weather for working in the garden. I still had to plant the tulip and alium bulbs, and that's exactly what I did. Because I am not the sort of person to plant neat rows of tulips in the same colour, I tossed the ones that I had into a basket and put them in the ground at random. Let's hope they will give me a pretty tulip field next spring. It will definitely be a surprise!
Cutting of the water supply turned out easier than I thought it would be. One of my colleagues told me how to do it and within five minutes all the pipes and the toilet were drained. The garden and the little house are now ready for frosty nights.
Before going home I picked all the flowers I could find: some dahlia's, roses, chrysanthemums and zinnia's. It will be a long wait until spring, but I look forward to spend some time indoors, baking and cooking and visiting museums and concerts. I even picked up my crochet needle after a year to start a new project and finish an old one.
Wishing you all a good week!
