Ready for winter
Now that the clock was set back one hour and the days are getting shorter, I thought it was time to make some minor changes in our house. I replaced the bright coloured summer pillows for more pink and mauve winter ones, hung a grey sprayed wreath made of leaves over the mantelpiece and fetched my box of candles from the loft. I also placed an old brown wicker basket next to the mantelpiece, with some warm plaids inside. Old houses like the one we live in can get very cold and draughty. Unfortunately we cannot have a working fire, because the chimney is blocked on several floors.I am still looking for ideas to make it look more like a real fireplace. Perhaps I should just put a firescreen in front of it....If you have a suggestion, please let me know. I would love to hear!
Some time ago I received a beautifully wrapped gift all the way from England. Vanessa from the blog Coco Rose sent me a lovely white picture frame with little roses and a heart made of wire. Dear Vanessa thank you very much again! Please have a look at her blog. It's fun, colourful and full of vintage finds! I would also like to thank Saskia from the blog Join my Joy for the lovely Pink Ribbon bracelets she sent my daughters. Saskia's blog is a joy to read and look at. It oozes happiness! Dear Saskia, you are a sweet friend!
I wish you all a happy evening and remains of the week!
Lieve groet, Madelief
